An intraday trade journal built from the broker's own fills, with each trade charged what the broker actually billed.
Test copy with an invented month of trades, made only to show the screen. These are not real results.
Scope
Intraday trading only. The journal treats each trade as opening and closing on the same day; positions held overnight aren't supported.
Problem
The trader kept no journal, so it was hard to see which habits cost money, and brokerage and taxes were never counted against the gross figure.
What we built
A journal rebuilt from the broker's own fills every day, with no typing. Each trade gets its share of the charges Upstox actually billed, split into brokerage, STT, exchange fees, GST and stamp duty. Day, week, month and year calendars, results by trade number, entry hour and days to expiry, and findings in plain words, such as how trades taken right after a loss did.
How it was tested
Checked against the trader's real trade books: every day's total matched Upstox's own fill amounts to the rupee, and each charge component matched Upstox's billed figure to the paisa.
Limits
Upstox only lists the current day's trades, so each day's book has to be saved at the close. Upstox posts charges a day later, so today shows an estimate until then. A position carried overnight has no opening fill that day and is read incorrectly, which is why the journal is intraday only.
