Custom trading software development

You bring the strategy.
We build the bot that runs it.

Custom trading bots, risk controls and trading dashboards for traders in India, built against your broker's official API. You own the code, keep your credentials and run it on your own account.

  • Fixed quote before work starts
  • NDA before you share your rules
  • Full source code handed over
  • No profit share, ever

Engineers, not advisers.

We write software. The strategy, the risk rules and the trading decisions stay yours.

✓ What we do

  • Turn your written trading rules into a working, tested bot
  • Connect it to your broker's official API
  • Add risk controls: stop-losses, daily loss limits, kill switches
  • Deploy it on your own server, with monitoring and alerts
  • Hand over the source code and documentation

✕ What we don't do

  • Give investment advice or recommend strategies
  • Hold your money or log in to your trading account
  • Place trades on your behalf
  • Take a share of your profits
  • Promise returns. Our fee is the same whether a bot makes or loses money

What we build

Six kinds of work, from a single TradingView alert to a full trading terminal.

01

Custom strategy bots

Your entry, exit and position-sizing rules, coded in Python and running on your broker's API. Options, futures and equity.

  • Python
  • Broker API
  • F&O
02

Risk & discipline tools

Daily loss limits, max-trades caps, auto stop-loss, trailing stops and kill switches that start exiting open positions within seconds of a rule breaking.

  • Kill switch
  • Auto-SL
  • TSL
03

TradingView automation

Pine Script indicators and strategies, plus webhook relays that turn your alerts into broker orders or Telegram messages.

  • Pine Script
  • Webhooks
  • Alerts
04

Trading dashboards

Web apps for your own trading: live charts with your indicators, one-click order panels, positions and P&L that work on a phone.

  • Web app
  • Live charts
  • Mobile
05

Backtesting & code audits

Test your rules on real historical data with realistic costs and fills. Or bring an existing bot and we'll review it for bugs.

  • Backtests
  • Audit
  • Tick data
06

Journals & data pipelines

Automatic trade journals built from your broker's fills, actual charges, tick recorders, scheduled reports and alerts.

  • Journal
  • Reports
  • Telegram

Things we've built

Tools we designed and built, and run every trading day on our own live Upstox and Zerodha accounts in Indian F&O. No P&L is shown.

Test copy running against a simulated broker. All figures are sample data.
Case study · Risk

A kill switch for a manual options trader

Hard daily limits and an automatic stop-loss on every hand-placed trade. When a configured daily limit is breached, it automatically starts exiting open positions and blocks new entries.

  • Six rules checked about once a second
  • A stop-loss on every manual trade within seconds
  • Exits confirmed in the order book; refused exits retried and reported

Test copy running against a simulated broker. Charts use real NIFTY candles; positions and P&L are sample data.
Case study · Execution

A scalper's trading terminal

The index, the call and the put on one screen with the trader's own indicators, and one-click orders with risk rules built in.

  • Three charts updated every second
  • Market, limit and previous-candle-low entries
  • Lots cut to available funds; one position at a time

Test copy with an invented month of trades, made only to show the screen. These are not real results.
Case study · Data

An automatic trade journal with real charges

An intraday trade journal built from the broker's own fills, with each trade charged what the broker actually billed.

  • No typing: rebuilt from broker fills each day
  • Charges split per trade, matched to the broker's bill
  • Results by day, hour, trade number and days to expiry

Also built

ExecutionUpstox

Indicator-gated entry assist

Arms one entry and waits: places a limit buy only when both the index and the option pass the trader's own Supertrend and Bollinger rules, re-pricing each candle. The strike follows ITM1 as the index moves, and every order is checked for duplicates first.

DataUpstox

Tick recorder & signal alerts

Records every tick with bid and ask for the strikes the trader uses, for tuning stops on real data, and saves the day's order and trade books at the close. Sends a Telegram alert when a custom signal confirms.

Built for live markets

The unglamorous parts that decide whether a bot survives a real trading day on NSE, BSE and MCX.

Built and running
  • Upstox
  • Zerodha Kite
  • Telegram
On request
  • Angel One
  • Dhan
  • Fyers
  • TradingView webhooks

"On request" means the broker has an official API we can build against, but we haven't shipped a live system on it yet. We'll say so in your quote.

orders.place() → confirm()

Order lifecycle

Every order is confirmed in the order book, not assumed. Rejections and partial fills are handled, and after a timeout the order book is checked before anything is sent again.

risk.check(every=1s)

Risk layer first

Resting stops are cancelled, and the cancel confirmed, before an exit goes out, so the exit isn't rejected for margin. If the bot can't read your account, it alerts you instead of trading on a guess.

auth.login() → token

Login & sessions

Official OAuth login flows and daily token refresh, with a reminder before the market opens if a login is due.

systemd · watchdog

Deployment & uptime

Runs on your own Linux VPS as a service that restarts itself, with a separate watchdog that catches a hung process.

ws.subscribe(ticks)

Market data

WebSocket tick feeds, intraday and historical candles, holiday calendars and expiry rules built in.

test.mock(broker)

Tested before it's live

Every change is run against a mock broker that models real rejections, then paper-traded before it touches your account.

How a project runs

Four steps. You see working software before you pay the balance.

  1. 01

    Brief

Tell us your rules on the form or WhatsApp. Rough is fine. We reply within one working day.

  2. 02

    Spec & fixed quote

We write your rules up as an exact spec and agree every edge case with you. Then a fixed price and timeline.

  3. 03

    Build & test

We build it, test it against a mock broker, then you paper-trade or test it live with small size.

  4. 04

    Handover

You approve, pay the balance and get the code, documentation and 30 days of free bug fixes. Maintenance is optional.

Who builds it

A small team in Tiruppur that already builds software and automation that has to run unattended.

Anand Somakumar, founder of StopLoss Labs

Anand Somakumar

Founder

Anand has an MBA in Systems and Finance from SCMHRD (2000 batch) and has traded Indian markets for seven years.

Alongside StopLoss Labs, Anand runs a software company that builds pollution-control software for industrial units regulated by the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, and Soul Automation, which automates gates and whole houses. Building systems that run reliably without anyone watching them is the day job, so automating trading rules was a natural next step. Every tool on this site was built first for Anand's own trading.

Questions

Do you work with traders outside India?

Not yet. We work only with traders in India, using Indian brokers' APIs on NSE, BSE and MCX. Quotes and invoices are in rupees, and we work on Indian Standard Time.

Will the bot make money?

We can't tell you that, and anyone who promises it is guessing. A bot runs your rules exactly, without hesitation or revenge trades. Whether those rules are profitable is a question for backtesting and your own judgement.

Do I need to share my broker password?

No. The bot runs on your own server with your own API keys. You log in through your broker's official login page; we never see your password or hold your money.

Who owns the code?

You do. You get the full source code and documentation at handover, and you're free to change it or have someone else maintain it.

Is algo trading allowed for retail traders in India?

Yes, within SEBI's framework for retail algorithmic trading, which works through your broker. Depending on how a bot is used, your broker may need to register it. We'll tell you what we understand applies to your case, but this is general information, not legal advice, and you remain responsible for using the bot within the rules.

Last reviewed October 2026.

How much does it cost and how long does it take?

It depends on the work. A TradingView alert relay is days; a full strategy bot with risk controls and a dashboard is a few weeks. You get a fixed quote after the spec, before any work starts.

What if something breaks after handover?

For 30 days after handover we fix, free of charge, anything that doesn't work as agreed in the specification. After that, an optional maintenance plan covers broker API changes and fixes. The service terms list what's covered.
