Custom trading software for Zerodha Kite
Bots, risk controls and dashboards built on Kite Connect, Zerodha's official API, with Kite's own rules for stops, market orders and modifications handled.
What we've built on Kite Connect
We've built a full Zerodha version of our kill switch on Kite Connect, with its own order handling and tests against a simulated Kite API.
Kite details we already handle
- Stop-losses on index options. Zerodha doesn't accept stop-loss market (SL-M) orders on index options, so the stop is a stop-limit order. If it triggers but doesn't fill, the software chases it, then replaces it with a market exit.
- Market protection. Market orders are sent with market protection, as Kite requires.
- The modification limit. Kite caps how many times one order can be modified. A trailing stop is re-placed before it reaches the cap.
- Large exits. An exit above the freeze quantity is retried with Kite's auto-slicing, and every slice is confirmed.
- Daily login. The official Kite login flow, with the request token captured for you.
- Static IP for orders. See our static IP guide.
What's different from Upstox
- Kite Connect has no API for Zerodha's account kill switch. After a trip, the software closes and keeps closing positions, but the broker itself won't refuse new orders. See what a kill switch can and can't do.
- Kite Connect is a paid API subscription, billed by Zerodha to you. Historical candles need Zerodha's separate add-on.
Zerodha and Kite are trademarks of their owner. We are an independent software developer, not affiliated with or endorsed by Zerodha.
